Construction of ZnO/Keggin Polyoxometalate Nano-heterojunction Catalyst for Efficient Removal of Rhodamine B in Aqueous Solution

Rational design of nano-heterojunction catalyst is one the ideal ways to solve dye pollution effectively. In this study, two catalysts ZnO/Ag4SiW12O40 (ZnO/AgSiW) and ZnO/Cs3PW12O40 (ZnO/CsPW), were synthesized by simple dissolution precipitation method. The samples characterized XRD, TEM, FT-IR, Raman, DRS, XPS N2 adsorption desorption isotherms. photocatalytic experiments show that degradation rates Rhodamine B (RhB) ZnO/AgSiW ZnO/CsPW within 60 min are 92.3 72.7%, respectively, which 5.3 4.2 times higher than pure zinc oxide. still maintain excellent performance after repeated use for three times. Based on free radical capture experiment, active substances play a major role in process determined. addition, electrochemical tests construction system significantly increases separation efficiency photogenerated carriers heterojunction system. possible pathways final products nanocomposite analyzed liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) technique. This paper provides theoretical experimental basis treating organic dyes catalysts.
